A pair of ladies’ black suede leather formal evening gloves, made in France in the 1930’s, with fine Brosser outseam stitching.

A classic 3 button mousquetaire glove, the suede being brush dyed black on the outside and the cream contrast welted opening giving extra chic.

A pair of ladies’ cream glace leather daywear gloves made in France in the Edwardian period with full pique stitching and wide heavy braid type points.

A shortie 1.25 BL style, royal blue contrast stitched points, turned back cuff with five rows of contrast wavy heavy thread, a palm vent, ‘hidden’ press stud, elegantly stylish. A stick on label “L’Innovation”.

A pair of ladies’ ivory leather glacé made in France with Fine Brosser outseam stitchingwith wide heavy braid type points for Edwardian daywear.

A stylish shortie 1.25 BL glove, with brown contrast stitching on the points, turned back shaped cuff with contrast embroidery, 13 IMI pearls, palm vent, “hidden” press stud with “Aris”.

Elegantly fashionable, 3 points overstitched black contrast thread, 3 BL, black contrast on gusset and top and inset thumb.

A pair of ladies’ pale cream leather glacé daywear gloves, possibly French of the 1920’s, full pique stitching but cornered – no quirks; interesting thumb.

Machine embroidery on cuff lining, which can be worn as a 4 BL or with the cuff turned back. A long palm vent with press stud. Three points crochet effect with grey contrast.

A pair of ladies’ biscuit coloured evening wear of the 1960’s, made in France with stretch satin Helanca fabric with inseam chain stitch.

Made by Neyret, France’s leading fabric glove manufacturers who pioneered a woven stretch nylon fabric using the patented Swiss fabric ‘Helanca’

A pair of ladies’ cream daywear gloves of the late 1960’s, made in Worcester, England, in glacé leather with fine inseam Brosser with quirks.
Made by Miloré, one of England’s best known leather glove manufacturers of fine and stylish well designed gloves. Very short style, palm vent with leather covered press stud. The back of the hand part is cut away into an arch edged with a cut-out petal leaf pattern, very effective and beautifully executed’

A pair of ladies’ leather glacé daywear gloves made in France in the 1960’s with full pique stitching. Shortie with 3 points, a very pretty cuff consisting of many different coloured small leather flowers. The cuff has been padded to form a ring held in place by a palm vent and secured with a single covered leather button and leather loop.

A pair of ladies’ cream leather glacé daywear gloves from Portugal in 1960/70’s, with full pique cornered, no quirks, stitching.

Two complementary zig-zag points running part way down the back then turning at rightangles to follow the line of the cuff. Punched holes on the centre back; shortie palm vent.

A pair of ladies’ pink handsewn cotton simplex fabric daywear of the 1950’s, probably from the USA.

Designed by Lilly Daché, 1892 – 1989, born in Béigles,France, apprenticed to a milliner aunt and emigrated to the USA as a teenager. Founded the house Daché, New York city in the 1920’s. Famous for hat designs especially turbans, snoods and half hats.
